Jungle Fever

Would you buy a dress that was leopard print on top and zebra on the bottom? I certainly would, so this outfit passes my pattern mixing test.

Sweater, INC (one of my February purchases). Dress, Jones New York. Tights, Danskin. Oxford pumps, Isaac Mizrahi for Target.

A pattern mix like this isn’t to everyone’s taste and pushes the limits of acceptance in a professional workplace. A classic silhouette, though, ensures that the pattern mix is the only (!) wild element. Imagine how office-inappropriate it would be if the top were a bustier and the skirt a mini.

Yeah, this is my favorite pose.

With all the pattern and an embellished neckline, I didn’t need any jewelry.

I love! I think it would work better as a skirt and shirt though, that way you could wear them with other patterns and colours, not just together.

Awesomely ferocious predator/ prey pattern mixing!

something in me wants to see a big red belt or something in the middle.

You have balls.
And I say that with all due respect.
Also, your hair looks amazing right now - love the length and coloring.

I thought the same thing about shobooties, lol!

Girl you are brave... Gotta say, not my fave. To each his own though! I'm curious as to what your co-workers said?

DaShannon - I must credit Shabooties to Hillary (http://www.byhillary.com/)

Janni - there was very little reaction. One person complimented me, another said "wow!" and the rest just stared.

Hilary is wearing cheetah today too! I am wearing a cheetah cardi but not in a blog post... I missed the memo.
Love the print mix. Should you claw with one hand and hoof with the other though? Just to be fair?
:)

I would never think to do this, but it looks really good.

It might look nice with a wide black belt to break up the patterns.

the one time I don't like what you wear in ... forever!!!
but I think it takes a bold personality and quite the confidence to try such a bold look.
in fashion, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.
fail for me.
