Classy Lady

Blouse, Daytrip. Pencil skirt with fishtail hem, Banana Republic. Pumps, Victoria Spenser. Charm necklace, thrifted. Flower cuff, Forever 21. Faux python clutch, Express.

How sad that I’ve only worn this skirt once since I bought it in December! After seeing the pictures, I was afraid it was too long on me. Later, I saw someone much shorter than me wearing the same skirt and it fell to mid-calf on her. I decided I should just be happy with my nearly 65 inches and wear the skirt with my highest heels and a lot of attitude.

Do you ever wonder what I crop out of my photos? Usually, it’s uninteresting things like dirty laundry or a blank wall. This time, though, it pained me to cut away the backdrop so that you could better see the outfit details in the “medium” sized picture I always lead my posts with. It makes me feel better to share the original, uncropped photo with you.

I love this outfit!! This is in line with what I'd love to wear every day, but I haven't quite figured out how to successfully tuck a shirt into pants or a skirt (I think its a skill..I'm working on it!).

I have skirt issues also (I'm just under 5'3) but that's a perfect length on you. I try to listen to the sage advice of Stacy and Clinton and hit just above or just below my knee.

I'm in LUST with your shoes...so cute! Yellow is just awful on me but if it's an accessory, I don't look washed out. Cute cute cute!

That skirt is gorgeous - I have been looking for something similar with no luck. The length looks fine on you.

I LOVE this outfit - I'm a new reader and have been perusing the topics/archives/etc., but I was wondering (and you may have already answered this somewhere), but what percentage of your salary do you spend on clothes/accessories, would you say? I notice you thrift and swap a lot (that's awesome!!!) but am wondering if your phenomenal style is a reasonable goal for everyone - it seems so daunting!

Anyways, great style - great ideas - great mix and match technique! :-)

I like everything about the outfit except those shoes....for some reason those yellow shoes look "inexpensive" which takes away from the classy outfit. I know you tend to wear those shoes with several of your outfits but it ruins the look. Otherwise, I love your style Kasmira.

I think the skirt length is perfect, and I really enjoy those yellow shoes with whatever you put them with. The clematis in bloom over your pergola is to die for!

This is my favourite look I've seen you in. It's "cleaner". And that skirt was made for your body. Beautiful and I love a red head in red!

I too am envious of those fabulous yellow pumps and have been keeping my eye out on ebay and everywhere else for a pair similar. I usually spend all of my extra money on camera lenses and other crap for my photography but as soon as I loose my baby weight I am going on a massive shopping spree and it's all your fault :) DARN YOU KASMIRA!!!

Funny thing, I have been reading your blog for over a year and I have no idea how I found it in the first place.

Love, love, love today's outfit. Very classy!

I know you love Cameos, so I thought you might enjoy reading this article on them and how they look to be a fashion item for the Fall

Love this outfit. The skirt is fab and so is the red shirt. Also, I really like the uncropped photo - the white gate and the purple flowers add a lot to the picture.

hey! the length of your skirt is just fine. in fact it looks very nice on you. I wouldn't dare to match a totally different colored shoe to my outfit. but is there such a rule in the first plc?!
