The alleys of midtown are a canvas for muralists. In the K-L Street alley (between 21st and 22nd), the back of a building has been transformed into an homage to the performing arts. My favorite touch is the trompe l’oeil door at the top of the stairs, offering a backstage peek at an in-progress performance. “Hollywood comes to Sacramento,” was painted by artist Kristyne DiMeo.
