Venetian Blind Bridesmaid

Rose bridesmaid dress, Eliza J. Fishy purse. Opal earrings.

Third time’s the charm – for choosing a bridesmaid dresses, that is. This is the third dress my sister asked me to order as her bridesmaid. (Actually, this is the fourth, but only the size is different from #3.) It isn’t too bad. I call this the Venetian blind dress because it is constructed of bands of ribbon sewn over a mesh. Each band is only sewn along the top edge, so if you run your hands up the dress, the blinds open and everyone can see your altogether. Good fun.

My mother chose the shoes. We all wore them, including the lovely bride. They matched the dress, but were otherwise hideous. If you really want to see them, click here.

I've got to agree with you on the shoes! Something with even a kitten heel would have made all the difference in the world. Oh well, at least the dress is pretty. Like the purse too.

Well, you look adorable, but you can tell your mother picked the shoes. ~ (From someone else's mother)
