Chicago: Day 1

Swing jacket, Apostrophe. Sheer pink blouse, Bebe. Black skirt, from my USMC “blues” uniform. Black tights, Danskin. Black patent maryjanes, Xhilaration. Pink crescent earrings, Girlshop.

I’m traveling to Chicago today. The hat (below) won’t go with me because it would be too much of a pain to travel with. Tomorrow, you'll get a horribly blurry picture of my all black outfit, taken without a tripod and in the cruddy hotel room lighting. I bet you can't wait.

For outside, I added: Cloche hat, Scala Collezione. Black velvet, ruched gloves, TJ Maxx.

I got the hat at Pangaea in Clifton (Cincinnati, OH) last year.

Kasmira,
Could you give us bloggers a peek in your packing skills? Do you only travel with carry on luggage?( I am sure its not black either?!!)

I notice you travel with like colors to keep clothes and shoes quanity down...But I always seem to have so much in my suitcase between bathroom essentials and clothes/shoes.

Wow, that swing jacket really works. I really haven't liked the look on most people, but you make it look so elegant. I'm trying to figure out what makes it work so well. Maybe it's the slimmer skirt and the monochrome look.

And I definitely looove that cloche. I just bought three since I finally found a style of cloche that works for me (they're the ones we featured recently on thebargainqueen.com).

Hats are so fun : )

This is a great outfit. You'd look like a Hitchcock heroine if you were blonde again!

Love how you incorporate your old USMC uniforms into your business attire. I have two of my ex-girlfriends dress blue skirts that I love wearing as well. Nice way to save money. haha
