Winter White Denim with Fur

Fur poncho, Christopher & Banks. Paisley print blouse, NY & Co. White denim, Gap. Ugly black boots, Life Strides.

I’ll admit that I’m a tiny bit addicted to my blog stats. Most interesting, is checking out where my visitors come from and reverse stalking them. After I’ve exhausted all the referrers, I take a spin through the keywords that brought Googlers here. Most arrive by searching “Kasmira blog” or some variant, but a quite a few also find me by entering “mixing black and brown” and “winter white jeans.” So, for all of you looking for winter white denim inspiration, I’m here to meet your needs again. (And if you’re keen on black/brown mixing, click here.)

Regarding yesterday’s “fat” comment…I want to be clear that I was not fishing for compliments. I do not need you all to reassure me that I am HWP. In fact, I debated making the comment at all because I did not want to appear insecure or set a poor example for the younger, media-bombarded generation. In the end though, I decided that this is my blog and it’s a place for me to not only record my outfits but also how I felt about them. That outfit made me feel fat. I’m wearing something different today (with NO leggings beneath) and feeling comfortable again.

I'm addicted to my blog stats too - I'm sure it's unhealthy, but I just can't help myself! It was only by clicking on one of the links to reverse stalk that I was able to inform another blogger that her link to Kylies Eyebrows was bringing visitors to me instead! So I figure reverse stalking is some sort of good karma!

Liking the poncho - looks snuggly warm!

HWP= Height and weight proportional? Those shoes are so not ugly, by the way!

Well, I know finding your blog only a few days ago has increased my "viewing" of your site for the simple reason I need ideas/inspiration. I had to see the entire year.
Thanks for your inspiration.

Did you wear the poncho all day at work? Did it keep you warm enough outside? I bought a cream colored version for my wedding but have never yet worn it. I have resorted to a full length (and i mean FULL length) down coat with a "fur" trimmed hood to get from my car to work in downtown Cinti the last few days. Not particulaly cute, but I am not minding winter. Yet.

Why are these boots ugly? From this pic they look cute. Is there something crazy going on underneath that demin I should know about?! ;)

What exactly makes those boots ugly? Just not your style? I like them, but then again I'm biased because I own a pair just like them. :-)

BTW I came via Allie's blog, and I'm from Wisconsin. And your outfits are the best.

I guess I'll have to take a picture of the boots alone. I'm not sure what makes them so ugly, but they really are! Something about the texture of the pleather and the shape of the toe. They are old lady shoes. But they were only $20 and work beneath pants!

Yes, I did wear the poncho all day. It's comfortable and warm, but I do have to be careful when I eat. It would be expensive to clean if I dribble hot sauce on myself.

eeek! Normally you look so fantastic but in this one it appears that you're wearing a tortured animal!! If it's fake you should say so (and I still don't like it) and if it's real you need to rethink the effects your fashion obsession is having on other feeling beings! I love the blog though, this is a rare exception :)

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I need to assist some of my younger colleagues find another term. By "old lady" what do you mean? I am old enough to be your mother, but I assure you that all of my shoes are beautiful with the exception of the ones that need replacing from extreme wear. I suppose some "old ladies" could use a term in reverse when we wear something "juvenile?" (Not highly offended just mildly miffed). ;) PS Just turned my daughter and daughter-in-law on to your blog. They are more your age and my daughter is an actress and former Rockette. I know she will enjoy your blog as much as her "old lady" mother enjoys it.

Sorry, chanteusevca! You're only as old as you feel, right? Well, the boots feel positively elderly. ;)
