It always irritates me that this quote is misconstrued as a call for minimalism. In Coco’s case, I assume this meant leaving the house with six strands of pearls wrapped around her neck instead of seven. Today, for me, it meant abandoning earrings, bangles, and rings in favor of loud (literally) and layered necklaces.
Cardigan, Merona. Lace tank, George. Skirt, Banana Republic. Shoes, Delicious. Bag, No Boundaries. Faux pearls, thrifted. Bird necklace, gift. Charm necklace, Kenneth Cole Reaction.
I haven’t seen Coco avant Chanel yet. Has anyone else? What do you think of it?

I saw the movie about 2 months ago. I really enjoyed it, however there were parts of the "story" that annoyed me including other storylines were built up but were just dropped from the movie without reason. (Sorry, not wanting to give spoil the story for you!)
I like your outfit much more though. You inspired me to buy an over the top pearl-like necklace. I just wish I had more opportunities to wear it. I wore it with casual clothes last week.. I shall attempt something similar soon.

Really love the necklace and the purple cardi with the yellow shoes. I have the same skirt and so was inspired to wear my yellow heels with it this week :-) This is a nice play on a classic look.
