i'm a sucker for stripes. i'm wearing them now, actually.my favorite striped shirts are by armour lux. they are the original breton shirts worn by fisherman.
I really love that top, especially with the red flowers. Lovely on you (good call with the red lipstick!).
Love the self made zinnias!! How did you make them?
Sarah - I just glued craft store faux flowers to hairdresser clips. (I bought the clips at a hairdresser supply store.) Easy peasy! And you can use them in your hair, on your clothes, or on your shoes.
beatiful shoes!!! loved!
I've decided that if you accessorize with anchors they are nautical, with a beret they are French, and with too pale foundation they are mime gear! You look great in this outfit. I'm pretty covetous of your tiny flat waist, but then again I know how hard you work for it!
Ooh, I agree with the last answer, blue and peacoats are nautical for me. You are tres lovely. Marie @ Lemondrop ViNtAge
Yeah, very French. Funny, because you look a bit like Liz Cherhal when you've got the red hair. She's the equally-awesome, possibly-even-more-French little sister of the Frecnh pop star Jeanne Cherhal--who is also always well-attired to say the least.
Oh hey! I recognize that shirt :) You look so good in it! And in a odd twist of fate, I'm wearing your sweater today, as it is FREEZING in MN. I love this online swapping idea - thank you so much for telling us about it and sharing your expertise! Kasmira FTW!Erin, The Cheap Chick
I'd probably put this in the nautical box, but either way, it looks great!
Tres chic. Love this!
Love the top and flower! Those shoes are a blast from the past - I'm almost certain I had those very shoes back in grade 5 or 6!
I think that stripes + flowers = Parisian, while stripes + gold jewelry (i.e., anchor necklaces)= nautical, haha. Anyways, you look great, and I love that top!http://fashion4economicallychallenged.blogspot.com/
You look adorably precious (based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire)!
My first thought was french. I love the addition of your DIY brooches to that shirt. They are the perfect touch.I'm just now going through 24 posts of yours that I missed while doing my wedding/honeymoon, so sorry if you've answered this somewhere, but...what happened with your plan to change your hair for the role you were playing? Did you make a decision about what you wanted to do?
Tina - I'm returning to red in a couple of weeks. The color may not hang on to my bleached blond, so we'll see how it turns out!
This is super simple, but I love it!~
