Saturday was forecast to be 104 and sunny. Instead of hiding in the air conditioning, I braved the sun and heat to catch a part of the free World Choir Games entertainment at Fountain Square. All the undercover seats were taken, so I was happy to have brought my own shade. I quite enjoyed my perch on the edge of the fountain, occasionally being hit with spray.
I think I’ll carry a sunbrella more often!

I carry sunbrellas often. J makes fun of me for it, but then he crawls under the shade and is happy too. I wish I had one as pretty as yours though.
I love my parasol, although I don't use it as much as I should. Yours is lovely! I like the navy/green in this outfit.
Question: do you have any recommendations for a seamstress or someone to alter a skirt? I founded a great skirt but it needs shortening
Very very nice.
And cute parasol.
Love green.

Anon - I've used two tailors in town, but was not really pleased with either. I've been happiest when I've shortened them myself. A blind hem stitch is easy to do by hand. The trickiest, and longest, part of shortening a skirt is the measuring, cutting, folding, pinning, ironing. The sewing is a snap after that!
Love the outfit you looked cute cool and chic. The 3 C' of fashion are always good.
I love parasols for shielding me from the sun, and I don't experience anything near the sort of weather you're dealing with (the mere thought of 100+ degrees makes me want to jump in a cold shower). Yours is beautiful -- I love the design and it really adds to the outfit.
