Grande Dame

Whenever I wear this fur-collared sweater, I feel like some sort of grande dame. I wouldn’t mind modeling myself after Madame Adelaide Bonfamille of The Aristocats, spending my golden years dressed to the nines and providing for the street cats of Paris.

Sweater, vintage. Another sweater (underneath), Ann Taylor Loft. Skirt, Talbot’s (thrifted). Tights, Target. Peeptoes, BCBGeneration. Earrings, Ali’s Boutique. Bag, Franco Sarto.

I paired my old lady sweater with my old lady skirt and my old lady bag. My tights and shoes, though, are a nod to my (fictional) burlesque youth in Gay Paree.

you always have the cutest tights. I have stocking envy! I wish I could find that kind of selection here (small town).

There is nothing "old lady" about that outfit. I'm too scared to try a fur sweater, but it looks GREAT on you!

My gosh, I haven't thought about "The Aristocats" in AGES! You are channeling all of the best things about Madame Adelaide, here, beautiful.

That is one of my favorite Disney movies! I have it on VHS...and watched it just the other night with my kiddos. We had a blast singing all the songs from memory.

~Everybody wants to be a cat, hallelujah!~

I love that movie - why are cats always the villains in movies nowadays??

I like that you created your whole character story for this outfit. Very cool.

As the movie tells us, 'everybody wants to be a cat!' And you are one cool cat in that outfit. Nicely done!

Amidala's favorite movie right now is The Aristocats. We literally watch it 3 times a day. She now calls me "momma-cat" and pretends to be Marie.

love the shoes and collar! my first cat was named Toulouse after a kitty from the Aristocats! Although, he was a she!

Paris, cats, dressed to the nines... sounds wonderful!

This outfit is great. I love the sophisticated old-school look, with a modern fun twist from the tights and shoes.
