Shot Through

Rodarte for Target is the best designer collaboration since Jovovich Hawk. However, like JH, most of it really isn’t work appropriate. I bought the only item (available at my local Target store) that I could imagine wearing to the office.

Lace cardigan, Rodarte for Target. Dress, vintage, thrifted, and shortened. Scarf, Camp Foster “mall” (embellished by me). Burgundy tights, Hue. Striped stockings, Music Legs. Boots, Rampage. Earrings, Jana’s Designs. Purse, Colini Handbags (thrifted).

Much of the collection is sold out online. I’m toying with the thought of purchasing the lace and tulle crepe skirt in ochre, but I don’t think I could get much wear out of it for the price. Maybe it will be unpopular and end up in the clearance bin.

I saw a very similar sweater @ White House Black Market, but I bet you got a much better deal on your sweater! I love it!

I love all the Rodarte stuff (including your lace number)! I resisted buying anything, though, because I also had the "Where the hell am I gonna wear this thing?" thought. It's ubiquitousness on the interwebs also was discouraging to me. Maybe I will find some pieces in the thrift store a year from now after the buzz has died down a bit...

p.s. Your little grey kitties are the cutest!!!! :-)

Love the cardigan on you - very cool and slightly gothic, esp. with the tights.
My Target fave will always be Isaac Mizrahi's clothes. I really miss him now that he's jumped the bullseye for Liz Claiborne.

Sweater looks good! Reminds me of something I have from about 10 years ago. I need to get that out and photograph it!

Yay for that cardi purchase... i'm gonna take a look at the entire collection on line... and only drool over it - as I am on my 7th day of the shopping ban!

The more I see these pieces being worn by actual people, the more intrigued I become. That cardi looks fab on you, lady.

I live in Minneapolis, aka target headquarters, so we had the whole collection in store. Pretty much everything is already gone downtown! I liked a few things, but I also resisted due to the the "Where? Where are you REALLY going to wear this!"

Love this. I wanted the leopard hoodie as well as the dress I got,but exercised a modicum of restraint

I'm Canadian, so I don't get to a Target very often. I was lucky enough to frequent one over the holidays, though, and I was drawn to the Rodarte collection like a magnet. So beautiful! Your cardigan is wonderful, and the potential for mixing and matching it is huge! I like how the burgundy tone in your scarf sets off the rest of the outfit.
