Knotty
I noticed knotted shirts getting a lot of hate on a GOMI forum. Not as much hate as the “shame tuck,” but tied shirts seem to be generally disliked. I like the styling option, though. Especially to add shape to a shirt over a dress.

Cuter than any buttons ever could dream of being! Look how you have the red border of the dress perfectly peeping from under the knotted shirt! Knot away. I think you do it RIGHT!
Knotted shirts done like this look great! Have to remember to try it over a dress.
Maybe the problem is people who wear them with a huge gap between the shirt and their pants/skirt/etc? I think it's distracting and choppy looking to see large amounts of skin between the two pieces.
