I Waited for This

It has recently come to my attention that I am frightening people with my gaze, so, 007donuts, this is for you…

Brown, short-sleeved linen jacket, Forever 21. Pale yellow cardigan, Mossimo. White blouse, Worthington. Navy, polka-dot skirt, Side x Side (thrifted and altered by me). Yellow pumps, Victoria Spenser.

I’ve previously revealed (in the comments) that I often plan the week’s outfits on Sunday night. I planned this outfit three or four Sundays ago, but it has been too hot to wear this many layers. Eighty-four degrees may still be a little warm for a jacket, cardigan, and blouse, but I could wait no longer. I suppose the recent heat has addled my brain.

A better (no flash) shot of the colors:

The creepy stare will return on Tuesday.

I really like the layering. I am actually wearing similar layers and colors today, but didn't get the chance to take a pic this morning as I was running a bit late.

Love, love, love the layering!!! The brown and pale yellow are beautiful together.

Londyn - can't wait to see your pics when you get them up!

Anon - spend some time in my office. You'll recommend I add a winter coat to this ensemble!

This outfit is disgusting. The saddest part is that you have somehow accumulated a herd of fashion followers who must dress worse than you to be considering your attire anything other than grotesque. This outfit is horrible, please don't ever wear it again.

Don't listen to the mean comments. I just stumbled across your blog and think it's great! A totally fun concept. And I like your style.

I just stumbled across you in cyberspace, and I love your sense of style!! I will be checking back when I need some wardrobe inspiration (which is most of the time). Of course, I don't have your figure, which is stunning. The detractors are just bitter and lonely. Interesting that you are putting yourself out there and the mean commenter has one photo of herself so photoshopped that you can't make out any details. She says in her posts that she is lonely and broke (as are a lot of people right now), so maybe tearing down someone she doesn't know is her way of making herself feel better. Sometimes it's hard to remember that bloggers are actual people with feelings that can get hurt. BTW, you are so NOT old either! lol!

First, I just wanted to say that I read the comment that '007donuts' and all I can say is that she seems like a total A$$. What a beeoch {word for a female dog}!

Second, I think that you have a VERY pretty face and beautiful eyes {I sincerely hope that I do not get in trouble with you hubby, just being honest}!

Lastly, as for the criticism by '007donuts', I agree with the other posters here, consider the source. She hides behind the identity of '007donuts' and you are brave enough to use your real name. So not only is '007donuts' a beeoch {word for a female dog}!, but also she is a coward.

Can you say Narcissistic? LOL!

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the diagnostic classification system used in the United States, as "a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy." [1]
The narcissist is described as turning inward for gratification rather than depending on others and as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power and prestige.[2] Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness.
