Okinawa

I lived in Okinawa for over three years. But the most Japanese-looking garment I own came from a Cincinnati thrift store last Saturday.

Kimono top, thrifted (no tag). Lace tank, George. Skirt, Mossimo. Shoes, J Crew. Bag, Apt 9. Earrings, vintage. Necklace, Phai’s House of Jade.

Beautiful thrift find, Kasmira! And it looks smashing on you!

Your blog inspired me to try thrifting again (I used to thrift all the time as a poor college student, many years ago.) I scored a great quilted jacket in a beautiful fall colored print for only $6! :-)

The jacket is stunning. I love the whole outfit. Great mixing of pattern and texture.
Ditto on the wishing I could find a great jacket like that.

I love the gold and red colours coming together. Chopsticks in the hair would've chanelled the japanese look :)
