The Polyester Window

This skirt is criminally cute, but the real crime is that it’s made from an unbreathable polyester. I can only, comfortably, wear it in spring and fall. I’ll wear it until the humidity kicks in and then move on to my cotton skirts for the summer.

Skirt, thrifted, shortened, and embellished. Shirt, Old Navy. Hat, Betmar. Shoes, Lela Rose for Payless. Earrings, No Boundaries. Pendants, Phai’s House of Jade. Bag, Modani.

Thankfully, the weather window for this hat isn’t so brief. I want to wear it on every sunny, warm day.

Those shoes are adorable! A recent find??

I bought them last summer. You might be able to find them on eBay.

The skirt is so cute that it almost makes up for its synthetic nature... I have that with some dresses. I can only wear them in a two month time frame during the year or else I will melt or freeze in their polyester grips...

Great shoes!

I so want to look like you when I wear a fedora, but they just don't work as well on me.

Love the floppy kitty!

I love this outfit, and I am swooning over those shoes! I considered buying them when they were in stores however I decided the heels were to high for me. Bummer!

I have trouble with hat etiquette at work - leave it on or take it off and ruin the outfit?

Wow very very beautiful!!

Tessa - hats at work are dependent on dress code and the atmosphere of the workplace. I've only worn a hat during the workday once. It was a Friday, so I figured I could get away with it.

Do you sell items on etsy or ebay? Love to swap and thrift.

Anon, I used to swap on Flickr, but now I just give my unwanted items to charity. I wish I still had the time to swap. It was so fun!

Try Etsy, you'd make a mint.
