Triple Threat

Surprise: more owls! I used my Bedazzler and one of its accompanying patterns to stud an owl onto this newly shortened skirt. Then, of course, I had to pair it with my owl bag and an owl ring. Triple the owls and triple the fun!

Cardigan and tights, Forever 21. Green sweater, Merona. Skirt, gifted, shortened, and embellished. Boots, Diba. Bag, World Market. Scarf, gift from Londyn. Ring, Girl Props.

I tried to find Bedazzler patterns online and came up empty handed. For all my fellow crafters, I’ve scanned and posted the patterns that came with my Bedazzler, including this owl pattern. My preferred technique is to print the pattern, punch out the holes with a hole punch, pin the paper to the garment, and then apply the studs through the holes. When finished, unpin and pull off the paper to reveal a picture perfect design. (Some paper may be trapped by the studs. You can use tweezers to nab the remnants.)

Oh so cute. You did a great job embellishing the skirt.
Thanks for sharing the patterns and your tips on using the Bedazzler. I've been wanting to try it myself.

The sleeves on that cardi are really pretty. I like the color combo of the whole outfit, very Fall. The owls are too cute! >_<

Hi Kasmira,

I Love the outfit. AND OWLS! I have a dilemma. I have a vintage gold and ivory owl necklace that I bought last year in Portland. I have no idea what to wear it with. It's rather long.

Can you give me some ideas?

Happy Late Thanksgiving!
((I'm thankful for wonderful blogs such as yours!))

That is too cute!

I think I may need to wear more animal stuff.

Cherish - click on the "owl" tag and all the posts in which I wear an owl accessory will come up. I have a couple owl pendants on long chains.

Hi Kasmira,

Stumbled across your blog a few weeks back and luv it. I went thrifting last week with your advice in mind and made out like a bandit - also had a new sense of bravery like never before. Thank you!

Question for you - do you ever wear gauchos in the winter, and if so, how do you wear them? I've tried them with boots, but the whole thing looks silly on me. Maybe I'm too short (5'2")?

Thanks!

Janet

oooh! Very cute! There are a lot of colors in your outfit, but they all go together perfectly.

Janet - I'm afraid that's one of the looks I don't do (along with skinny jeans tucked into boots). I'd say pass on the gauchos/boots if you think it looks funny. There are so many other looks out there to try.

Adore the owls, there's just something very interesting about having owls as a detail. Especially like the bag.

Are you seeing a lot of clothes and accessories with owls in america now? Because I haven't seen anything like that in Sweden at all.

That outfit is a hoot (in a completely adorable way, of course)! Sorry I couldn't resist. You look lovely as usual, and I love the color combo... very earthy and natural. I love owls... i need more in my wardrobe!

skapamusik - owls do seem to be having a bit of a moment in states. I can usually find something owlish in any of the trendy store. And owls were big in the 70's, so I can usually find owl jewelry at antique and thrift stores, too.

So cute! I've been hoping to find a Bedazzler at a thrift store so I can experiment with diy's like this.
