I was still too dressed up. Apparently, the uniform of the day was khaki pants and polo shirts. I don’t even own either of those items.
Beefy took these photos near sunset and wanted at least one with the lovely Cincinnati skyline in the background:

great outfit! so fab! great pictures, too. especially the last one.
Love that last shot! Love the contrast of the bright red and whatever color the blouse is with the skyline and the the way your skirt kindof reflects the color in the buildings.
Love your outfit. That skirt is fabulous! The picture with the skyline is stunning.
This isn't normal? It looks very normal to me. Very put together.
And I could hug you for not owning khakis. ^_^ Bless you, you wonderful woman.
Such a great mix of colors and prints.
Love your descriptions: "distressingly normal" and "terribly practical" - Ha! Love it and love your outfit!! too cute!

Yea that you don't own the khaki nation wardrobe, why we visit here...

Sigh, I still have a long way to go if your normal is my "a little out there"
This is how I dress for work every day. Fortunately, nobody has ever told me my style is too distressing.
It's a great outfit, but I hear ya - I hate having to dress "normal" to fit it, and I've pretty much given up and gone way the heck over-the-top instead (especially for a special occasion).
Lovely shot of the sunset!
Great photos. Think your outfit is still fun, despite being "normal". Good for you for avoiding the norm.
One of my colleagues complained about my outfit and said it was disappointing because it wasn't weird enough. Is that a compliment, do you think?
Yeah, your normal is my I Wish I Could Pull That Off But Don't Have Near the Balls.
Love the skyline picture.
and again.
