I’ve finally gotten so bored with my wardrobe that I’m pairing things like a black and white buffalo check with a brown and white abstract floral. Mixing black and brown is tricky. If it doesn’t look intentional, then it looks as if you dressed in the dark. (I HAVE dressed in the dark before and was on the bus before I discovered I was wearing one brown boot and one black boot.) I rely on accessories to bring it all together.
Does today’s outfit look intentional or accidental? In the end, black and brown are both neutrals, so I’m not terribly worried about the mix.

I'm curious about you being bored with your wardrobe. Do you miss having a really large wardrobe or is it the styles overall or...? I like to shop frequently and cycle through my clothes, but I notice that you seem to have shrunk your wardrobe.
I really like this outfit. The turquoise is perfect to tie this together.
Mostly just bored my hot weather options. Summer here is long and very hot. I've gotten rid of much of my polyester items, so that is probably the "shrinking" you are observing. I wear and rewear the cotton and silk garments until I'm just sick of them.
I am going to learn to sew (better) this winter and make some cotton skirts for the summer. It's so hard to find cute skirts in natural fibers!
it looks fabulous!
Very nice. The accessories definitely make it purposeful. Boredom can spawn creativity, not thatyou have any shortage of that.
So true about needing to sew if you want natural fibers.

Black and Brown, you did it good! I can't believe you have a ponytail there! You must be feeding your hair miracle grow. :o)

My hair growing secret is Nioxin!
I don't know how you do it, but this absolutely works. I agree that the turquoise accessories somehow make it all work. Go for it, girl, not that you ever don't!
I think you did the black and brown well! The brown looks really dark. In the first photo, I thought it was black.
Looking forward to your sewing experiments!

the deserty sun makes the brown and black both look black....after I read the text, and looked hard, the black looked a little like navy blue.
