Asilomar

Thanks to a tide chart app on my phone., I always know when to expect low tide! We planned a trip to the Asilomar State Beach tide pools at low tide before leaving the coast.

I admit to touching some of the marine life, but I took nothing except a fishing weight I found in a pool.

Fisherman's Wharf

We’re in Monterey to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. Naturally, one of our activities is me demanding that Beefy take my picture. It’s tough being an #instagramhusband.

Carmel Fantasy

If I lived in Carmel-by-the-Sea I’d be fat and broke. The food and shopping are too tempting. I’d hope that, in this fantasy life, I’d at least run the pastries off on the beach.

Excuse me while I continue my fat, broke fantasy in an infinity hot tub.

Bodega Bay

Outfit photos will be few and far between for the next week or so. My sister is in town to help me accomplish some of my 40 B4 40 items. We’ve already seen a local theater production and have horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and sailing planned. These pictures were taken in Bodega Bay, where we will be riding horses on the beach.

Jacket, REI. Sweater, thrifted. Skirt, Tilt (thrifted). Leggings, Mossimo. Galoshes, Kamik. Sunglasses, Target. Earrings, street fair.

I'm offline to get some adventuring done!

Davidson Mesa

We visit the Denver area once or twice a year, since we both have family there. This was the first time we stayed on the “other” side of town and I loved it. Our hotel was in Louisville and within walking distance of a maze of running trails. A short drive took us to Davidson Mesa open space park (pictured here) or quaint downtown Louisville, brimming with restaurants. The weather was just gorgeous and the locals were enjoying it: walking, running, cycling, or just eating on the patio.

Tee, Keller’s Pub. Overall dress, Hydraulic Denim. Leggings, Target. Boots, Style & Co (thrifted). Scarf, consignment. Bracelets, Adobe Imports. Bag, thrifted.

Windy Saddle

We drove to Windy Saddle, above the city of Golden, CO, and marveled at the cyclists powering their way up the steep grade (climbing 1200 feet in 4.3 miles). I’m sure they were pleased it wasn’t a windy morning, but the paragliders and hangliders were probably disappointed at the lack of air movement.
